Down in the boiler room of an old hotel, Aggie Rose (Diana-Marie Stolz) has made her makeshift home. Sprugg (Eric Pettifor) visits and turns it into a venue for the imagination. They envision and embody those above them in the hotel, while Pete the Janitor (Gordo Blakhart) spies on them for his amusement.

This magical play was inspired by people playwright Rex Deverell met while living as a young theology student in a halfway house. The wealth of their stories is condensed into an opus where whimsy defies physical decay in a bitter sweet comedy of imagination transcendent.

Artists' Collective Theatre (ACT) has decided in the spirit of the play that a portion of the proceeds from each ticket will be donated to thedropin.ca. "We felt that it was important to enage in that kindness which Deverell so emphasizes in his writing," says director Amanda Liz Cutting.
